Projects > Street Teams
Street Teams were originally funded by the Youth
Offending Team and worked for ten weeks in each of
four "hotspot" areas defined by West Yorkshire
Police.
The Thorpe Edge sessions, based at Rockwell Centre,
Summerfield Road, were due to end in October but
were re-commissioned until the end of March 2011 by
Rockwell Centre. Sessions now run 6.30-8.30pm on
Saturday evenings for three weeks each month, with a
trip out every fourth week as an incentive for
positive behaviour and contributions.

Quotes from Support partner
agencies
“My team have recently been working alongside Sofia
Mahmood from the Bradford Youth Development
Partnership regarding the youth provision on a
Friday evening in Buttershaw. In conjunction with
this we have been looking at anti-social behaviour
in the area over the six week holiday period -
historically Buttershaw becomes a hotspot for
anti-social behaviour over this period. I am pleased
to say that this year saw a 40% reduction in
anti-social behaviour over the period, compared to
the last two years”
