Welcome to BYDP
Over the past
nine
years Bradford Youth Development Partnership has
been through the process of design and delivery of
innovative projects and programmes to impact on the
lives of young people/young adults for positive
change.
It has been committed to collaborative partnership
working with the statutory and other voluntary
sector organisations and agencies for a bespoke
service which assists young people to make informed
decisions.
As a
charitable youth organisation it is well versed with
the aims set out in the Every Child Matters/Youth
Matters: Change for Children agenda and the
Government Respect Agenda and its commitments of
these to the practice with children and young
people.
BYDP is an approved
Accreditation Centre (NOCN).

BYDP
would like to offer a BIG thank you to all
who donated Tesco vouchers for schools;
these vouchers will be used to provide much
needed equipment for our young people. |
Young Citizens
Achievement Awards Ceremony 10 February 2009
Maryam Ahmed is a determined young woman and has
proved to be an excellent role model for young
people across Bradford despite having her own
personal difficulties. Maryam has been heavily
involved in the work of Bradford Youth Development
Partnership having put herself forward as a
volunteer on a number of projects since coming to
Bradford including Youth Fusion, Palz, Educational
learning, Bradford Youth Summit, Allot-4-Less and,
contributed to work in the BYDP office. Maryam is
passionate about her volunteer work and about giving
young people a voice which enables them to make a
difference to their own lives.
Amanda Lake, Connexions PA, based at Bradford Youth
Development Partnership felt that Maryam deserved to
be nominated for her outstanding contribution.
Amanda was present when Maryam was recently honoured
with two awards from Bradford Council for Positive
Contribution 12-25 year old. Maryam was delighted
at receiving the first award and couldn’t believe it
when she was also presented with the prestigious
Young Citizen Outstanding Achievement Award by BBC
Look North’s Christa Ackroyd.

Maryam

BYDP are very proud to have had the opportunity to
be a part of Maryam’s life and will be watching
closely one of ‘Tomorrows leaders’ on her journey in
the future.
